The Hunger Games Movie

I was never a fan of book adaptations, usually it falls short or way far fetched from the original. I would possibly say that the only adaptation that did not disappoint me much was Harry Potter or otherwise known as the WORLDWIDE PHENOMENON. So as you may know by now, I am also a bookworm. I tend to hide behind pages and pages of books rather than expose myself to socializing.

I stumbled upon The Hunger Games when I browsed NBS one boring day. I thought, hey this looks nice. I love the title and the cover art was really interesting. Bought it amidst the hardbound price. 😛

I was hooked! I was really hooked! It was better than Smilight errr Twilight. Collins’ flair for riveting storytelling is indeed grasping. I could literally not keep the book down. Once I was done reading the book I told myself to complete the trilogy.

I am now down to the last book. It was released last year but I will only buy it once I deserve it! 😛

I have heard of rumors that it will be adapted to a movie soon. I was astounded to see that it will really happen!

Here is the complete roster of District “tribute” roles and the actors/actresses who will be filling them in The Hunger Games:

  • District 11 members Thresh and Rue (Dayo Okeniyi and Amandla Stenberg)
  • District 12 members (and the story’s protagonists) Katniss Everdeen (Jennifer Lawrence) and Peeta Mellark (Josh Hutcherson)

And added to the list:
