I was today’s old when I found out that Pag-IBIG has gone virtual. Shocking, I know but for me who has been privately employed for the majority of my career I never really paid attention to this. I did not have any house loans and I have not decided to start an MP2 saving so there was never really any need to create an online account until recently.
After leaving my full-time job of 7+ years, I definitely have to be on top of all things government contributions. I started with SSS as that was familiar to me of course I had to go over the others too: PAG-IBIG and Philhealth. I then realized that I did not have a virtual PAG-IBIG account and you bet we had to create one.
Here are the steps to create and activate your virtual Pag-IBIG account:
1. Prepare your MID number. I checked my last MDF (Member’s Data Form) to locate my MID number as it is required to set up your virtual account. This is found in the upper right-hand corner of your MDF, I had a printed copy from my previous employer. In the event that you do not have your MID number, you may visit any Pag-IBIG office to get yours.
2. Open the Pag-IBIG virtual page: https://www.pagibigfund.gov.ph/ and find the Virtual Pag-IBIG tab and select For Members.
3. Create your Pag-IBIG account from the Virtual site.
Click on Continue from the pop-up screen.
3. Create and Activate your online account from the next page and you will be asked to fill out a form.
4. Fill out the form.
5. Complete One-Time Pin Authentication.
6. Fill out the member information, set up your security questions, and upload a valid government ID.
7. Once completed, wait for an SMS and email to activate your account.
I received an email at around 3PM that my account can now be activated. Note: A temporary password is included in the email.
8. Activate your Virtual Pag-IBIG account using your email address and temporary password.
