NBI Clearance at Tuburan

Aren’t you just pissed that NBI has done it again? The long queues and the flustered faces greeted me when I decided to check NBI Capitol Cebu last October 19th. A long snake-like line was waiting to be given priority numbers. Ever since the Robinson’s fire incident and the sudden change of NBI process frustrated not only me but those people in line as well. There was one person who could not fly to China cause of the stupid new policy. NBI had a hard time dealing with all new applicants and not to mentioned those who just wanted to renew. Apparently, we all get to start from scratch, meaning you need to fall in line early in the morning to ensure yourself of a priority number. They will only provide a specific limit of numbers to be given per day. Once you have your number, you will get the schedule for you to continue the process which would be 3-4 weeks apart from the time you received your priority number.  When you get back that’s the time your photo gets taken and you had to wait another 2-3 weeks to get your clearance. Imagine the long process you had to endure? I didn’t have all day to stay and I just got out from my work. I left with the decision of riding a bus and go to Tuburan to get my clearance. 
Tuburan is one of the Northest part of Cebu. You can ride a bus directly to the place at specific time intervals which would cost you Php100, you can also opt for the V-Hire at Php140 each. Riding the bus for almost 3 hours was the challenge so bring something that could occupy your mind. 
I read about getting new clearances in Tuburan from Istorya.net. I needed to get mine cause I only got a week to comply everything. Tuburan caters to almost anyone who needs a new clearance. They even gave a new one for that person from Manila. Before, we used to go to Robinsons to have our clearance renewed and now that there is a new system everyone and I mean EVERYONE will go back to one. Renewal or not everyone will have to underwent the grueling task of falling in line and hopefully grab that most covetted priority number.

This was the rickety-rust laden bus we rode for almost 3 hours trip. I slept almost half the time we were on the road. I was utterly tired, the seats were totally flat with no cushions at all. We arrived at Tuburan near the church round 9-ish. The driver announced that we have arrived and we headed straight to NBI.

This was the line that greeted us. We filled up the form, paid the amount of Php115. Got our photos taken and bio-metrics done then voila! I was one of the few who came all the way from Cebu to just get our clearance.

Yes, we decided to take the V-Hire on the way home, it cost Php140 each. It was worth all the effort. I could not bare waiting for almost forever to get my clearance and remain my sanity at NBI Capitol. The trip was truly worth it. We could have stayed long enough but I got other requirements to comply.

Requirements:
* Valid ID (Government Issued like Passport, Postal ID, Voter’s ID)
* If you don’t have any; a police clearance will do.
* Php115 for payment

Also, there has been changes in the NBI Clearance itself. The clearance is valid for one year from the date of issue! 🙂

  14. Hi, NBI Tuburan is not hard to find. It is located inside the municipal hall of Tuburan. If you will travel by car, you can ask people around where the place is. All I remember is the church and plaza was right along NBI. Should you be riding the public bus, you will be instructed by the driver to that you have reached your destination. The municipal hall is at the left side. Go down the bus, walk across it and you will see National Bureau of Investigation. 🙂

  15. hello,nag kuha ko ug nbi last december 12,unya na hit kounya ugma(january 6,2012) naku unta makuha kay nanawag nako nga pwede na daw man kuha nakounya naa koy probs.. kay nawagtang ang akong O.Runsa pwedi buha2n nga makuha kuna nga ok ray alay O.R pero mana man ku ug bayad kwaonon nalng nako pls advise se ko kung unsa dapat buhaton pls lang

  16. Hi Christine, I am not sure if you can get your clearance without the receipt. Since you were able to contact them, might as well call and state that you lost your receipt. They might arrange something for you to get your clearance. Please give them a call. I don't know anyone who works at NBI Tuburan, it is best that you contact them for this.   35. I, together with my co-workers, will going to NBI TUBURAN tomorrow… xD …The long hours of commuting won't be a hassle because it is going to be worth while…when you receive the clearance right away!…unlike NBI Capitol… @ …thanks for this very informative blog!!!!!…. :tup

  36. hi, im glad i read this information coz i lost all my valid id's. I hope police clearance is really ok to present coz that's the only thing i have for now. Police clearance is ok right? hehe… just to make sure…Thanks for the info. I'm ready to go to Tuburan.

  38. Hello! is it ok ra na company ID ang ipresent? Then, ingon nila, for renewal ra daw ng sa tuburan? true? or pwede pud mokuha ang mga wala pay nbi clearance sa tuburan?

  39. Hi Menard, I believe pwede ra bisag unsa na ID basta naay ID number. As far as I know, there we all start again to getting NBI clearance. Renewal or not, we all go through the same process.

Hi, does anyone knows if unsa ang number sa tuburan nga office for nbi? i just want to ask them also if ang nka signature na karon sa NBI is kang De lima na, nka kuha nko ddto pg January then had it for authentication sa dfa, problem is na reject ako nbi kay dili kang De lima ang signature… please help..

  44. @zereywin: I apologize for I do not have their number in Tuburan. I heard that Robinson's Cybergate now has a satellite site for claiming NBI Clearances. I recommend that you visit them and ask for the number. I reckon they have it. 🙂

  49. Hi Morris. I am not certain if NBI Tuburan is now up and running since the typhoon however you may want to consider getting your clearance from other satellite centers like: Robinson's Cybergate in Fuente and at the 3rd Floor of J Centre Mall. It's nearer and the trip is far tolerable. Here's their phone number, you might want to call them first prior to going – 463-8048. Got the number from Istorya.
